I speak to law firms, legal conferences, and professional groups about leadership, identity, time, and the shift from successful attorney to law firm CEO.
High-performing attorneys do not need another talk about discipline.
I speak to legal audiences about the leadership challenges that often sit underneath the familiar language of time management, productivity, and workload. Attorneys are trained to think clearly, work hard, manage pressure, and carry responsibility, and those strengths are part of what make them excellent at the practice of law.
But when an attorney becomes a founder, managing partner, or senior firm leader, those same strengths can create a more complicated transition. The challenge is rarely just that there is too much to do or not enough time to do it. More often, the real issue is that the leader is still operating from the identity of the firm’s best practitioner, when the firm now needs them to think, decide, and lead as CEO.
“The habits that make someone an exceptional attorney are not always the habits that make them an effective CEO.”
My talks enable legal audiences to name that shift more clearly. Through lived experience, direct language, and a deep understanding of the legal profession, I give founders, managing partners, and legal professionals a different way to think about time, decision-making, responsibility, and the role they now need to play inside the firm.
I give legal audiences language for the shift many leaders feel, but rarely know how to name.
My speaking is designed for high-performing legal professionals who are ready for a more honest conversation about leadership. This is not another message about working harder, becoming more disciplined, or squeezing more into an already full calendar.
Instead, I challenge audiences to recognise the deeper transition from attorney to CEO-level leader. That shift changes how a person thinks about time, decisions, responsibility, identity, and the role they now play inside the firm.
Because I have practiced law, owned a firm, and led one myself, I understand the pressure from the inside. I bring a calm, direct perspective to conversations that many law firm leaders are already having privately, but may not yet have the language to explain clearly.

I bring the perspective of a former attorney, law firm owner, and professional coach.
I do not speak about legal leadership from theory alone. I practiced law, owned and led a successful firm, and understand the identity, pressure, responsibility, and decision-making demands that shape life inside the legal profession.
That lived experience allows me to speak directly to attorneys, founders, managing partners, and legal professionals in a way that feels grounded, credible, and relevant. I understand what it means to be excellent at the work, responsible for the firm, and still challenged by the transition into a different kind of leadership.
My talks combine practical insight, honest reflection, and a clear message: the strengths that build a successful legal career are not always the same strengths required to lead a firm well.
If you are planning a legal event, firm session, conference, podcast, or professional program, start with a simple conversation about the audience and the outcome you want to create.
